Anzac Day Sydney dawn service centres on Martin place and the Cenotaph memorial starting at 4.15am on 25th April. This traditional and moving event has become so popular that audience areas now extend down George Street with many TV screens setup for those to see. Many Sydney audience areas fill by 3am.
Once the Anzac Day Sydney Dawn service is complete a great many venues and cafes will be open to cater for breakfast. A fab opportunity to chat and reminisce. Later in the morning the traditional Anzac Day March takes place between Martin place and Hyde Park with tens of thousands of well wishers paying tribute and saluting the Diggers.
In the afternoon sanctioned sporting events take place and venues will be open to have a friendly drink, meals and of course a game of Two-Up! Make sure you enjoy your Anzac Day in Sydney!

Get out and about this Anzac Day
Around Sydney there are some great options to be involved in the Anzac Day commemorations. Our ideas include the early dawn services with your loved ones and family and friends. The Sydney ANZAC Day dawn service takes place at the Sydney Cenotaph in Martin Place. There are many more dawn services in the Sydney suburbs that may be easier for you to get to. And some people in their own way will reflect privately.
Later in the morning the Sydney Anzac Day March will take place along Elizabeth Street to Hyde Park. Public are welcome to attend and support along the route.
In between the Dawn Service and the Anzac March you may wish to get Breakfast. Many venues in Sydney are open and available. And a stroll around Sydney Harbour will bring into view many military resources and activities with forts, naval bases and barracks. So much history that is fun to take the family to explore.
